Gabriel Leyva was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. In 2013 he graduated with an Acting Major BA in Theater from the University of Puerto Rico. While living in Puerto Rico he was a cast member of the Puerto Rico Traveling Company, and other companies where he played Don Quixote and classics including the celebrated play “Cruel World” by Luis Negrón.

In 2019 he graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from USC School of Dramatic Arts. In 2020 was a cast member in a Noise Within Theater “Alice in Wonderland'' production, and a cast member in Amazon Prime’s “Orígen of Juanes”.

In 2021 he played the role of David in the feature film “Receta no incluída’’ where he premiered in the acclaimed, SXSW Film Festival. Same year was a cast member in a Sky Light Theater Company production and Playwrights Arena,  “Apartment Living” by Boni Alvarez.
